Why this matters
Set during the last week of a single-screen theatre in Mumbai’s Dadar neighbourhood, Monsoon Electric is part love letter to celluloid, part sibling drama. We have locked locations, cast, and a cinematographer who specialises in mixed tungsten and sodium practicals.
The story
Your pledge covers 35mm short ends, a one-week build of the projection booth set, fair wages for a twelve-person crew, and a Dolby-certified mix. We are not building VFX worlds—this is intimate performance, tactile sound design, and rain machines on a rooftop. Completion timeline: shoot in late monsoon, grade by winter, festival submissions in Q1. Backers receive a production diary with lensing notes and call-sheet scans.
